Punjab Unveils Mobile Education Projects for Underserved Areas

Punjab launches "School on Wheels" and mobile library initiatives using solar-powered rickshaws and vans to bring learning to remote communities under Maryam Nawaz’s education vision.

In a progressive move to bridge the educational gap in remote and underserved communities, the Punjab government has blazoned the rollout of three innovative mobile education systems. These enterprise aim to bring structured literacy surroundings directly to children who warrant access to formal training. Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat revealed the detailed plan, which will begin with the launch of the “ School on Wheels ” action using solar- powered electric cabs.

These cabs will be especially designed to travel through narrow thoroughfares and far- out areas, serving as mobile classrooms equipped with folding chairpersons, educational toys, painting accoutrements , and books. A schoolteacher will conduct interactive assignments in an marquee- shadowed space created outside the vehicle, transubstantiating open public spaces into temporary yet engaging classrooms.

This design, supported by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, aligns with her broader educational vision, “ Parrho Gay Tou Barho Gay ” — a call to uplift unborn generations through reading and education. It marks a strategic shift from structure-heavy results toward more nimble, accessible models of literacy.

The electric cabs will be fitted with solar panels, icing sustainability and continued operation indeed in areas with limited electricity. The idea is n’t just to educate introductory class but to produce an terrain that fosters curiosity, creativity, and joy in literacy.

In addition to the School on Wheels, two mobile library systems are being launched to cultivate reading habits among youthful learners. The first, dubbed “ Library on Wheels, ” will feature brightly colored, cartoon- themedmini-vans that will carry a wide selection of books, extending well beyond academic content.

These vans will visit premises , fields, and community centers, furnishing children with openings to read for pleasure and broaden their imaginations. The action is especially aimed at children who may noway have stepped into a traditional library, therefore opening new windows of study and disquisition for them.

The alternate mobile library will be a more advanced interpretation — a completely equipped machine converted into a traveling reading space. This vehicle will include tables, chairpersons, and shelves grazed with Urdu and English books, children’s magazines, and general knowledge material.
